Portland, OR – How far can you go on the energy needed to power one 100 watt light bulb each day? Answer: across the continent. A father and son team, using an energy efficient pedal-electric Micro-car propelled by their own pedaling and an EcoSpeed bike motor, will travel across country this summer in a demonstration of energy efficiency and conservation. The trip is being sponsored by both General Electric and Popular Science magazine to show the positive impact that even small, individual conservation efforts can produce.
